Caithness Heart Support Group 'bowled over' by cheque presentation

A bowling club has raised funds for a deserving local charity.

Caithness Heart Support Group was "bowled over" when it received a cheque for £434 from a Thurso sports club.

The Weigh Inn's Indoor Bowling Club raised the cash through a recent tournament and raffle.

Bowler Bob Bell nominated the heart group, on which he also serves as one of its committee members, to receive the cash.

The cheque was handed over to Marge Donaldson, the group's secretary, by Weigh Inn barmaid Chloe Anderson.
