Two local women are leading health and wellbeing tours to help people from businesses and clubs "reconnect" after the disruption of the pandemic.

Isobel Mackay and Angela Williamson launched their bespoke Caithness tour company Above and Beyond in March 2019 and now they are offering their services to work colleagues or club members who have been kept apart for long spells by Covid-19 restrictions.

"We recognise the impact of Covid over the past two years on us all, specifically colleagues working from home, with the negative effects of a lack of human connection and missing being able to socialise and meet in a normal environment," Isobel explained.

"From the feedback we've received, we feel that there are many people who are 'zoomed out'."

In publicity for their health and wellbeing tours, they say that encouraging people to "reconnect" while immersed in nature will create teams that are "healthier, happier and more productive".

Isobel, of Thurso, and Angela, of Dunnet, have been collaborating with other businesses to offer "experience" short breaks which will include surf-and-turf packages and distillery tours.

They have established walking tours around Pulteneytown and Thurso as well as driving tours of Caithness. There is also a Christmas Day walk in Thurso, and gift vouchers are available.
