More than £4300 is being given to community groups in the latest ward discretionary approvals by Highland councillors in Caithness.

In the Thurso and Northwest Caithness ward, £2000 is going to Thurso Community Development Trust for its Thurso Grows town centre project.

In the Wick and East Caithness ward, £500 will be provided to Thrumster Community Development Association to help with Covid-19 community support.

The two wards combined are giving £1000 to Highland and Islands Blood Bikes (HAIBB) to assist with a six-month pilot project offering a free out-of-hours laboratory transport service for NHS Highland; £500 to Home-Start for Covid-19 community support; and £334 to AbilityNet, also for Covid-19 community support.
