CAITHNESS band OpenPlan have had a hectic time preparing for their debut EP but the members are delighted with the results which can be heard from Friday's release.

Lead guitarist Declan Gunn said: "Our debut EP, Déjà vu, has been recorded with the help of Calvin Wilson, previously of Neon Waltz, and we are supporting The Side in the Blackstairs Lounge on Saturday [March 23]. We recently played a gig in Dundee and it was a fantastic experience to play for the first time outside of Caithness."

Declan said the band are looking forward to playing more gigs outside the county and writing new music.

OpenPlan headlined at the Gig.Mouth event in Thurso at the end of December and played an acoustic gig at the Seaview in John O'Groats last month. They plan for more dates in the county throughout 2019 and beyond.

OpenPlan's debut EP Déjà vu is available on all major platforms such as Spotify, iTunes and Amazon Music.
