Caithness FM has launched its annual toy appeal, with a reminder to the public that every donation will make a difference to disadvantaged children in the county this Christmas.
The community radio station has arranged a number of collection points in Thurso and Wick, and is urging people to dig deep after the difficulties created by the pandemic.
Caithness FM's Jackie Johnson said: "With the help of our listeners, Caithness FM provided gifts for more than 370 disadvantaged children in Caithness last year. Unfortunately the need will be even greater this year, as furlough payments come to an end and with businesses not yet fully functioning.
"So once again we are asking the very generous people of Caithness to help us to help local children. All gifts donated in Caithness are distributed in Caithness – nothing leaves the county.
"We are asking you to buy just one extra gift, from toys to toiletries, for tots to teenagers. Every donation really does make a difference.
"All gifts should be new and unwrapped and they will be distributed on our behalf by the local social work department."
Drop-off points for gifts:
- Thurso – North Coast Visitor Centre (formerly Caithness Horizons), Royal British Legion, Semichem, Serendipity, Bank of Scotland and the Caithness FM studio.
- Wick: Tesco, Little Hope Gift Shop and Bank of Scotland.
Contributions will be accepted until Monday, December 20.
