Yvonne Fitzgerald Properties, which has offices in Wick and Thurso, has just been shortlisted for the Negotiator Awards – regarded as one of the most reputable awards in the property industry.
The estate agency is run and owned by Yvonne Fitzgerald who has worked throughout the north of Scotland and has offices in Wick and Thurso.
"This is the first time that I have entered, and we are the only company in the north of Scotland to have been shortlisted for our four selected categories. Over 1000 people will be attending the event which is held at the Grosvenor Hotel in London on November 24.
"We were also listed in the top 500 by the Best Estate Agency Guide again this year."
Yvonne says the Negotiator Awards are different and very well respected. "They are judged by a panel of 30 property experts. We are in the final eight of Best Small Scottish Estate Agency; the final 29 of Best Small Estate Agency in the UK; the final 13 in the UK for Marketing Campaign Of The Year in the UK; and the final 22 for the Community Champion of The Year.
"So it's been a very good week. It's been a tough year as my partner who is a veteran had a breakdown in May and has complex PTSD. It's been very stressful trying to run the estate agency and cope with that, so this has given me a big boost. I work usually 70-plus hours a week so it's nice to be recognised on a national level."
Yvonne was also chosen this week to be the Guild Of Property Professionals chosen member in the north of Scotland, which also includes Inverness, and was asked to be a founding member of the Guild in Scotland. There are 800 members through the UK and its headquarters is in Mayfair, London.
The Negotiator Awards winners will be announced at a lavish black tie gala ball presentation ceremony held at Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London on November 24.
