Caithness County Show: Judges 'very impressed' with industrial entries

Industrial convener Jacquelene Macleod reported that the number of entries was the highest so far in her nine years in the post.

"We have a very high number of entries this year, 622, the most since I've been industrial convener," she said.

"It's a very high standard. The judges were very impressed with everything."

Junior/intermediate trophies – Kathryn Mackenzie Shields for most points in junior section – Five to eight years: Max Mackay. Nine to 12 years: Laura Polson.

Ashcroft Perpetual Shield for most points in junior section and Society Shield: Lewis Budge and Max Mackay.

Best exhibit in junior section – Five to eight years: William Innes. Nine to 12 years: Laura Polson.

Lawrence Perpetual Trophy for most points in intermediate section: Cameron Mackay.

Granton Mains Perpetual Shield for best exhibit in intermediate section: Cameron Mackay.

Thurso Camera Club Trophy for best photograph overall (junior and intermediate sections): Brooke Bain.

Society Shield for most points in pre-school section: Lewis Budge.
