Caithness care home residents host Easter rock hunt

Staff and residents at Thurso's Pentland View care home had fantastic fun hiding painted Easter rocks all over the place for local children to find.

Staff and residents at the home run by Barchester Healthcare decided to challenge local children to find six Easter rocks hidden in locations throughout the town.

The children then have to return to Pentland View with the rock to receive an Easter egg as a prize.

The home's activities coordinator, Jeanine Sinclair, said: “We’ve had so much fun painting and hiding the rocks for the children to find.

"Residents are looking forward to seeing the children visiting to get their chocolate eggs.

"We made a whole afternoon of hiding them and then going for a celebratory coffee.”

Care home resident Rena Warren said: “It will be lovely to see the children’s smiles when they get their eggs.”
