Two sisters had a special double celebration in Wick today as one had her 93rd birthday and they both got dressed as the king and queen for a Coronation party.

Lily Macgregor is busy partying away for her 93rd birthday with friends and family at the Monday Club, held at Wick Youth Club, and decided to get suitably dressed up, along with her sister Jane Bremner (83), for the Coronation bank holiday today.

Lily was dressed to the nines in a resplendent pink outfit and turquoise hat in the style of Queen Camilla and Jane was dressed as King Charles III and had a Union Jack bowler along with matching tie and jacket.

Today's bank holiday is part of the weekend of royal festivities and an initiative called The Big Help Out highlights the positive impact volunteering has on communities across the nation.

In tribute to His Majesty The King's public service, The Big Help Out will encourage people to try volunteering for themselves and join the work being undertaken to support their local areas. The aim of The Big Help Out is to use volunteering to bring communities together and create a lasting volunteering legacy from the Coronation Weekend.
