TEENAGE traditional music sensation Brandon McPhee is to perform at two major music venues in the north of Scotland in September.

The 19-year old from Castletown, who performed to a sell-out audience at Eden Court in Inverness in front over 800 fans earlier this year, has announced concert dates in Aberdeen and Elgin.

McPhee will be performing at the Beach Ballroom in Aberdeen on Saturday, September 12, before heading to Elgin Town Hall on Saturday, September 26.

McPhee first took up the box in December 2006 after being influenced by his grandad Donald. Since then he has won a number of titles at junior and senior level, including becoming the youngest ever All Scotland Senior Traditional Solo champion.

He has earned a reputation as the most talented accordionist of his generation and has been compared to the likes of Scottish accordion legends Jimmy Shand and Will Starr.

His music videos have also proven to be a hit on YouTube with his performances receiving over 100,000 hits.
