Bulbs on show at East of Caithness SWI event in Wick

THIS year's East of Caithness SWI bulb show in Wick was opened by Islay MacLeod of Thrumster House. She also presented the winners with their trophies and was thanked by Carol Grant.
In charge of the bulb judging were Liffy Ross and her husband John, while the handicrafts and baking were judged by Amy Walker and Liz MacDonald.
The show was held on Saturday at the Assembly Rooms.
Bulbs
Seniors – Ten crocus, any variety: Margaret Murray, Killimster. Three hyacinths in earth, Miss Saigon: Sheila Macleod, Lybster. Two hyacinths, Pink Surprise: Carol Grant, Latheron. Juniors – Easter sponge: Iona Simpson, Killimster. String art item: M Efemey, Killimster.
Trophies – Institute with 16-25 members: Thrumster. Institute with 15 members or fewer: Lybster.
