BREAKING NEWS: Serious road crash at Freswick





A SPECIALIST medical team flew into Wick from Aberdeen this afternoon and are currently attending to casualties of a serious road crash on the A99 at Freswick.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said today: "Police are in attendance at a serious road crash on the A99 at Freswick.

"Emergency services were called to the incident involving one car around 4.05pm on Sunday, 6 September 2020."

The spokesperson said at 6pm today that the "road is currently closed and local diversions are in place".

An air ambulance landed on the bowling green at Rosebank Playing Fields and took a specialist medical team up from Aberdeen to attend to the casualties.

Numerous ambulances were observed rushing into Caithness General Hospital and some local people had gathered at the front of the hospital awaiting news.
