Break-in at former Wick shop earmarked for new business

Police in Wick are investigating the circumstances surrounding a break-in at a former shop earmarked to be a new dental surgery on Whitechapel Road.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.45am on Friday, 7 July, 2023, police received a report of a break-in to a shop on Whitechapel Road, Wick. Enquiries are at an early stage and anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting incident 0721 of 7 July, 2023.”

A local man said that the interior of the building appears to have been vandalised.
