THE pupils of Bower primary delighted the audience in the village's community hall when they staged their Christmas show, Children Around the World.

Parents, friends and neighbours gathered to enjoy a colourful production which combined the traditional Nativity with characters from different countries.

An impressive backdrop, created by Bob Beaumont and the children during their art lessons, helped to bring the show to life.

Principal teacher Vicki Ross said: “All the staff are so proud of our truly wonderful children. We are all so thrilled with their performance, of the work they put in to perfecting their lines, and the care and attention they showed towards each other during their routines.”

Her sentiments where echoed by class teacher Anne Duffy, who said: "It was a truly marvellous performance and the children were all so amazing.

"They all worked so hard both at home and in school to learn all their lines, words and signs for the songs.

"We are all very proud of our superstars!"
