CREW from Thurso Lifeboat Station were called out in the early hours of Tuesday morning when a boat struck rocks at Murkle.
Storm conditions were said to be between force 7-9 when crew received the distress call at 3.50am.
The boat managed to refloat itself due to the rising tide and was then escorted to Scrabster Harbour by the Lifeboat.
