THE panto season is over... oh no it isn't! At least in Bettyhill, anyway.

Amateur thespians there are currently in rehearsal for a production of Sleeping Beauty to be staged next month.

The show in the village's public hall promises a wealth of hilarious shenanigans under the direction of Abby Hardwick.

She takes up the role for this, the 10 panto in 11 years, from former director Graham Best, who stepped down after a decade of providing seasonal entertainment in the area.

The largely novice cast will be ready for action on February 7 and 8. The shows begin at 7pm and tickets cost £5 or £3 for concessions.
