The birds flew 83 miles from Beauly.

Wick and District Pigeon Club held a young bird race from Beauly, a distance of 83 miles, on Sunday.

The birds were liberated at 10.35am with the winning bird timing in at 12.11pm to the loft of Richard Wilson, who also took fourth position.

Second and third went to Ian Anderson and fifth and sixth to George Anderson.
