Barrock farmer denies charge of being five times drink-drive limit in Caithness car park





A Caithness farmer has been accused of having been in charge of his vehicle while more than five times the legal limit.

Leslie Robertson (56) pleaded not guilty on Thursday at Wick Sheriff Court and will stand trial early next year.

The charge alleges he committed the offence in the Dunnet Bay car park on Wednesday with a breath-alcohol reading of 120mcg. The legal limit is 22mcg.

Robertson, of Inkstack Farm, Barrock, who appeared from custody, was granted bail by Sheriff Robert Frazer and will return to court on January 24 for his trial.

He is being represented by Aberdeen solicitor, George Mathers.
