Next month St John’s Scottish Episcopal Church,Wick, will be holding its first fund-raising book sale since the Covid pandemic started.

Located in the town's Moray Street, the church will be the venue for a two-day sale which will take place on Friday, April 1, and Saturday, April 2.

Organiser Gordon Johnson said: "This is special for us, as we were banned from any close contact with visitors for two years.

"We will offer novels, factual books, and a small selection of children’s books, plus a range of music CDs, between 10am and 2pm on each of the two days. We have decided to keep our prices as low as before, to encourage more sales.

"The quality will remain excellent for everything, and if anyone wishes to bring more books along, we will accept them for use later."

Mr Johnson advised visitors to use face masks in the meantime, until all restrictions are lifted, and try to maintain distance between other visitors.
