Ban and fine for Wick drug-driver

A Wick man caught drug-driving was fined £400 and banned for a year at the town’s sheriff court on Wednesday.

He was George More, of Barrogill Street, Wick, who pleaded guilty.

The 44-year-old offshore worker was stopped by police officers in the town’s Harrow Road, on February 4.

He failed a roadside test and a subsequent blood analysis revealed a level of 2.9mcg for Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol – the legal limit is 2mcg.
