A new date has been fixed for a trial in which a man is alleged to have been pulled from his car in Thurso.

It is claimed he was then dragged to the ground, repeatedly punched, and kicked.

It led to 24-year-olds Ewen Grant and Jordan Macgregor being charged with assaulting the man.

The accused are said to have been acting with others at the time, Wick Sheriff Court was told on Tuesday.

Grant, of Achunabest, Reay, and Macgregor, who lives in Bayview Terrace, Thurso, are also accused of assaulting another man and a woman.

Grant and Macgregor deny all the assaults, which are said to have occurred in Princes Street, Thurso, on November 7, 2020.

A new date of July 19 was fixed for their trial.
