Wick Players are putting on an evening of entertainment in the Assembly Rooms as part of the programme for the town's gala week.

The club will be presenting two one-act comedies – Spring Cleaning and Heids or Tails? – later this month. Both productions are from the collection of Caithness plays, sketches and poems held by the late Ian Mathieson who was a former stalwart of Wick Players.

The gala entertainment is being presented in co-operation with the Elise Lyall School of Dance – a few dances will be performed throughout the evening.

'Heids or Tails?' is being directed by the cast with assistance from Jenny Szyfelbain. Gina Alexander is playing the mother, Janet Gunn, with Alan Plowman as Sandy Gunn, the father, and Jayden Alexander playing the son, Robbie.

They had anticipated the task would take two, nights but due to the help received they were able to get the job completed on Tuesday.
