Alleged stabbing sees 15-year-old girl referred to children’s reporter

A 14-year-old girl was stabbed in the Whitechapel Road area on Saturday night.

A 15-year-old girl has been referred to the children’s reporter after allegedly stabbing another teenager in Wick at the weekend.

The incident is believed to have taken place on Saturday night in the Whitechapel Road area.

Northern Constabulary said that the victim was a 14-year-old girl who was taken to Caithness General Hospital.

She was thought to have suffered minor injuries and was released later that evening.
