In a bulletin sent out this morning, he said: "Having been acting rector since 2020, I am delighted to be appointed as the permanent rector of Wick High School.

"I would like to thank the pupils, staff and parents/carers for all of their support over what has been an immensely challenging time considering the pandemic and our recent HMIe inspection. I look forward to leading the school in the years to come and building a successful learning community for all of our young people."
