Resurfacing works on the A9 south of Thurso will begin on Monday next week instead of Wednesday as originally planned.

Bear Scotland said the £105,000 improvement works at Geiselittle should take three days to complete, weather permitting.

The rescheduling is due to works on the A9 at Ousdale being completed ahead of schedule.

The Geiselittle works will see a 10mph convoy system in place between 7am and 7pm from Monday, May 1 to Wednesday, May 3. Bear Scotland said the convoy would be removed outwith those hours but a 30mph speed limit would remain in place.

The works, which will see 505m of carriageway resurfaced, are expected to be completed by 7pm on Wednesday.
