A9 remains closed in both directions following early morning accident near Portgower

The trunk road north remains closed just south of Portgower following an accident earlier today.

Traffic Scotland say the A9 is closed in both directions due to a collision, which is understood to have happened before 8am.

Police and emergency service are now in attendance.

Drivers are advised that delays are expected and are asked to take care on approach to the accident spot.
