A9 closed near Thurso as police deal with accident

The A9 near Thurso has been closed due to an accident, Police Scotland has reported.

Police officers are dealing with the incident about one mile from Thurso at the Weydale Road junction.

The road is closed and motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek an alternative route.
