A9 closed between Latheron and Achavanich due to gas tank leak

The A9 has been closed in both directions at the junction with the A99 road between Latheron and Achavanich.

Police Scotland say the closure is due to a gas tank leak.

Police have advised that diversions are now in place and that emergency services are currently in attendance.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "The A9 is closed at the junction with the A99 due to a gas tank leak.

"Diversions are in place and emergency services are in attendance."
