44 homes hit by powercut in Caithness

A power cut has hit 44 homes in south-east Caithness.

Energy firm SSEN say the electricity supply failure was reported at 10:44 am with an engineer now on site.

The area affected is close to Dunbeath and stretches south to Borgue, north-west beyond Lodebest and west tolwards Braemore.

The power firm said it hoped to have the heat and lights back on by 1pm today
