26 people and 2 dogs help clear up Wick rubbish on Sunday morning
Selfless volunteers from Wick Paths Group (WPG) were out in force on Sunday to clean up the riverside and other areas of the town centre.
The selfless volunteers on the Wick litter pick included 26 people and a couple of dogs who were happy to have a sniff about.
WPG secretary, John Bogle said: “A very big thank you to all the volunteers who turned out for the Wick Paths Group litter pick.
“A total of 25 rubbish bags were collected from the riverside, at the fountain area and up the river, the High St, Bridge St lanes and the Union St/River St area.”
Allan Bruce, WPG vice chairman said: “It was great to see so many people turn out for the Wick Paths Group’s first organised event of 2025 on such a lovely morning.
“The brae behind the fountain was particularly bad with litter.
“The area is looking so much better now, ready for the spring bulbs that are starting to break through.”
