SMITH - Julian, Stewart and Gaynor and close family wish to thank all relatives, friends and neighbours for their expressions of sympathy following the sad loss of Barbara - their loving mum, granny and great-granny. They were very grateful for the cards, flowers, letters and phone calls they received. A big thank you to Sinclair Dunnett and the staff of Dunnett's Funeral Directors - their kindness, understanding and professionalism were much appreciated. Thanks also to Rev. David Malcolm for his well crafted service and eloquent account of Barbara's life; Buds 'n' Blooms for the flowers; the cemetery staff for their work; and the Pentland Hotel for the refreshments. A special thanks goes to the staff of NHS Care at Home team, the paramedics and Rosebank Ward of Caithness General Hospital for all the amazing care and support given to Barbara over the latter months and years of her life. And finally thanks to all who attended the service in Ormlie Rest Rooms and for the generous donations in support of Thurso RNLI and Thurso Players. A total of £689 was raised.
