BURNS - Katie and the family of the late Dr Ian Burns would like to thank all family, friends near and far, colleagues and neighbours who expressed their sympathy with cards, phone calls and donations to Ian's favourite charities. Heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff of the Cardiac Unit, at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness, who under Professor Leslie provided such wonderful care of Ian in his time there. Thank you to Father Colin Davies and the community of St Joachim's, Wick, for the beautiful service that was made so memorable by the organist, Jennifer Ferguson and the Wick Choral Society who led the congregation in song. Our thanks to the staff at Mackays Hotel, Wick, for the delicious refreshments after the service and finally, to everyone who attended the funeral service and generously donated towards the Wick Choral Society, Cardiac Unit at Raigmore Hospital and St Joachim's Church, Wick where Ian was a member for 55 years.
