JOHNSTONE- Peacefully, at Caithness General Hospital, Wick, on Thursday, 5th January, 2017, Christine Johnstone (née Ferguson), 4 Castlegreen Court, Thurso, beloved wife of the late Drew Johnstone, loving mother of Lynne and David. Christine's ashes will be interred in Thurso Cemetery on Monday, 16th January at 12 noon, to which all friends are respectfully invited.
ROSIE - Suddenly but peacefully, in Pentland View Care Home, Thurso, on Friday, 6th January, 2017, Thomas, aged 83 years, of Hunster, Bower. Beloved husband of Betty MacDonald and the late Myra Baikie, a much loved dad of Fiona and Alan, dear father-in-law of George and Shona and loving grandad of Colin, Sarah and Scott. Funeral was private at his own request. At rest.
GUNN - Very suddenly, in his home, Brawlbin Farm, Halkirk, on Monday, 26th December, 2016, Kye (James George Mackay), aged 77 years, devoted husband of the late Marianne, a much loved brother, uncle, pappa and friend. Private cremation in Inverness and memorial gathering to follow in Caithness.
SHEARER - Very peacefully, in the care of Bayview House, Thurso, on Monday, 9th January, 2017, Katherine (Kitty), aged 98 years. Beloved wife of the late Jack, dear mother of the late John and Helen and mother-in-law of Margaret. MACKAY - Peacefully, in Caithness General Hospital, Wick, on Tuesday, 10th January, 2017, John, aged 85 years, of 5 Claredon Place, Thurso. Devoted husband of the late Catherine (Nan), loving dad of Morag, Sanders and Edward, father-in-law to Joe, Clare and Beryl, a darling grandad, great-grandad and a dear uncle and great-uncle. BAIRD - Aileen Margaret (née Gray) of Pennyland Drive, Thurso, died peacefully in Caithness General Hospital after a short illness, on Tuesday, 10th January, 2017, leaving behind her children David, Marianne and Linda and their partners Alexa, Peter and Nick and her grandchildren Isla, Aaron, Carrie, Andrew, Cameron, Kimberley, Ryan and Anna, also her partner Jim.
