Scorers Strathspey Thistle: David Ross (20). Wick Academy: Richard Macadie (22), Sam Mackay (49, 55).

Davie Kirkwood's men earned themselves three points after coming back from1-0 down to take victory over Strathspey Thistle.

The home side were first to score at Seafield Park when, on 20 minutes, David Ross sent a 30-yard lob over the top of Allan Bokas and it dipped under the bar.

Academy's response was instant and within a minute they levelled the scores when Richard Macadie rounded keeper Andrew Klarklins before slotting home his first goal of this season's campaign.

Sam Mackay and David Allan both had chances in the first half to take the lead but it wasn't until four minutes after the restart that Mackay notched up his team's second.

Mackay was on target again on 55 minutes. Brought down by keeper Klarklins, he scored from the penalty spot to give his side a two-goal cushion.

Academy spend the final 10 minutes reduced to 10 minutes after an off-the-ball incident resulted in Michael Steven, who had come on to replace the injured Gary Manson, being given his marching roders by referee Craig Sim.
