Wick Academy get home tie against Brora Rangers in North of Scotland Cup

Wick Academy have been given a home tie against Brora Rangers in the quarter-finals of the North of Scotland Cup.

The teams are due to meet at Harmsworth Park on Wednesday, August 18, after both were given first-round byes when the draw was made this week.

The clubs met at the same stage two years ago. Brora won 6-0 at Dudgeon Park on that occasion and went on to lift the trophy after beating Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the final.

North Caledonian League champions Golspie Sutherland will travel to take on Strathspey Thistle in the first round on Wednesday, July 28. The winners of that tie will be away to Clachnacuddin in the last eight.

Full draw – First round: Strathspey Thistle v Golspie Sutherland; Nairn County v Lossiemouth; Forres Mechanics v Rothes (ties to be played on Wednesday, July 28).

Quarter-finals: Clachnacuddin v Strathspey Thistle or Golspie Sutherland; Wick Academy v Brora Rangers; Nairn County or Lossiemouth v Fort William; Forres Mechanics or Rothes v Elgin City (ties to be played on Wednesday, August 18).
