Trophy double for Grace in Caithness indoor shooting competitions

Halkirk Rifle Club junior member Grace Campbell won Caithness Smallbore Rifle Association’s Daisy 2000 indoor championship. She is pictured receiving the trophy from Jim Manson, of Westfield Rifle Club. Grace is following in the footsteps of her elder sister, Sophie, who won the trophy for the past two years. There is also an outdoor version of the competition which is shot in the summer. The competition was held at Lieurary hall.

Grace Campbell of Halkirk won the Caithness Smallbore Rifle Association annual indoor junior championship. Grace, pictured receiving her trophy from Jim Manson, scored 379 points at the event held in Lieurary hall. Her clubmate John Bremner (third left) was runner-up on 364 points. John also won the trophy for the best junior aggregate score over the indoor season. Looking on are other junior shooters who took part in the championship (from right), Jamie Macadie, Adam Mackay and Jeeven Singh, all Westfield.
