Thurso Bowling Club’s Marina Bain and Alan Morrison secured the County Mixed Pairs title after getting the better of Lybster duo Shannon Martin and Tony Draper-Richards in a great final.

The competition got under way on Sunday, September 15, at Rosebank Bowling Club. However, due to poor weather it was agreed to reschedule the final at the St Fergus club on Monday, September 23, with Rosebank now closed for autumn/winter green maintenance.

County president Dave Coull thanked St Fergus president Malky Mackay and all members of St Fergus for use of the green.

Dave presented prize money and trophy to the winners and thanked everyone who had helped during the season.
