Thurso Netball Club proved too good for Fyrish Flyers with a 58-36 victory in the Highland and Moray Netball League at Golspie High School last weekend.
Thurso Netball Club proved too good for Fyrish Flyers with a 58-36 victory in the Highland and Moray Netball League at Golspie High School last weekend.

Thurso Netball Club travelled to Golspie High School to take on Fyrish Flyers Netball Club in the Highlands and Moray Netball League. This should have been a home game for Thurso bit with no facilities available to hire in Caithness, Golspie was the closest option.

Both teams started the games well with sharp shooting in both attacking circles. Thurso’s experienced shooting circle of Vikki Swan and Shona Comrie carved out an early lead for the Thurso side.

The centre court players had to work hard to keep moving the ball quickly up the court and provide accurate feeds into the circle.

Fyrish Flyers came back in the third quarter with a change in defence and a drop in concentration from the Thurso side.

Thurso managed to regain composure and finish the game Thurso 58 Fyrish Flyers 36.

Player of the match went to Bethin MacDonald for endless energy in difficult conditions.
