Scottish Highland Football League

Buckie Thistle 1 Wick Academy 0

BUCKIE Thistle completed back to back victories over Wick Academy in the SHFL as Thurso exile John McLeod scored the only goal of the game at Victoria Park.

Despite having several first team players missing the Scorries frustrated the league leaders for the majority of the game.

But McLeod's goal in the 54th minute kept the Jags top of the table with only six games left to play.

Jay Cheyne teed up Sam Urquhart who played the ball into the path of McLeod who fired past Sean McCarthy from close range.

Wick ended the match with 10 men in the closing stages when Sam Mackay was sent off for violent conduct.
