Thurso will be looking to keep up the momentum when they head to Ardersier on Saturday to face Inverness Athletic in the North Caledonian League.
The Vikings followed up their 4-1 Football Times Cup victory over Bonar Bridge with a 3-0 league win at Alness last weekend, and manager Stevie Reid believes there is much more to come from his team after a slow start to the campaign.
“In the last two games we've noticed an improvement," Reid said after second-half goals by Marc Macgregor, Luke Manson and Cameron Montgomery secured all three points in Easter Ross.
“It was tough because Alness is not an easy place to go at all. The pitch is quite tight and a bit bobbly – we took a wee while to adjust to it.
"It was nip-and-tuck for a wee bit and they had a couple of little half-chances. It wasn't until the second half that the game opened up for us and we could get to play the football we wanted to."
He added: “We're not up to full pace. We still have a wee bit to go, another couple of games, but we've had two good results.”
Reid's men are expecting a tough challenge against Inverness Athletic, who have relocated to Ardersier's Cromal Park this season from their previous home at Muir of Ord.
“They've had a couple of decent results, and they beat Golspie in the cup," the Thurso manager said. "They're on the up and have improved every year.
"I haven't been to the Ardersier pitch, I don't know what like it is. But we've got to go down there and we've got to get a result. It's another testing, tough game."
Reid is pleased to have James McLean and Luke Manson back in the fold and to have Macgregor looking sharp up front. The former Wick Academy striker has netted four goals in his last two games for the Vikings.
