STIRKOKE and Watten have progressed to the final of the Caithness Small-bore Rifle Association’s competition for the Morven Cup.

In the semi-finals, as in previous rounds, teams consisted of eight competitors with the six best scores to count in the knockout contest.

Results – Semis (points dropped ex 600): Watten 12, Wick OS 13. Scores – Watten: J.A. Henderson 99, G. MacKay 99, D.H. Bremner 98, N. Brims 98, P. Wilson 98, D. Wilson 96. Stagers: D. Simpson 99, H. Simpson 98, J.R. Sinclair 98, B. Young 98, G. Begg 97, D.W. Miller 97.

The final, on a home-and-away basis, will be completed by February 13.
