Stagers ‘A’ claim final-round decider

THE finale of the Caithness Small-bore Rifle Association’s postal winter league programme proved to be one of the most exciting in many years with the destination of titles in divisions one and two decided in the final round.
Wick Old Stagers "A" took the honours in the first division, with the same number of match points as Watten "A" but possessing a marginally superior aggregate score.
In the second division, Halkirk "B" won their final tie to wrest the title from Banff & MacDuff "A".
Westfield "B", Banff & MacDuff "B", Halkirk "C" and Stirkoke "D" took the silverware in divisions three to six respectively.
The undefeated Stirkoke junior team were
never troubled and took the honours in division seven.
