It was a fine win for Allan Sutherland from Darren Bain and Heath MacKay, but whereas the first two were around half a minute slower than the previous week, MacKay managed to improve by a few seconds to take maximum points in the Handicap League.

Graeme Morgan, Roger Broughton and Hamish Boyd all put in respectable times for the conditions.

Results: 1, A. Sutherland, 23 min 56 sec; 2, D. Bain, 25.15; 3, H. MacKay, 26.19; 4, G. Morgan, 28.57; 5, R. Broughton, 30.33; 6, H. Boyd, 32.13.

In last week’s report, seventh place was inadvertently given to J. Fisher instead of Jeremy Foster who clocked 29 min 4 sec.

Tomorrow and Sunday, CCC hosts the Babcock International Race Weekend, with a 25-mile time trial tomorrow afternoon and the 23-mile Loch Calder Hilly on Sunday morning.
