Seaview retain darts league crown despite being held to a draw
Seaview retained their Division One crown in Wick and District Darts League despite being held to a draw by Seaforth this week.
Meanwhile, Smiddy “3” have pulled in Calum Shearer and he defeated George Baker 3-2 as the Division Two leaders won without reply against Harper’s “C”.
Shearer could create history as the first player to be part of a title-winning side in both divisions, as league rules state you are not tied to a team until the third game. Shearer has played once for Seaview and once for Smiddy “3” so far.
Next week it’s the Ray Sinclair Memorial Cup in the Seaforth Highlanders’ Club. This will be followed by the county pairs and singles sponsored by Simpson Oils at the same venue on Friday, February 28.
