Seaforth victory in John O’Groats blows title race wide open

Seaforth quartet Richie Budge, Tam Mulraine, Ryan Campbell and Michael Campbell have blown the Wick and District Darts League title race wide open after coming away with the points from John O’Groats – a feat none of Seaview’s previous opponents have managed over the past five seasons.

Ryan Campbell, Stewart Tait, Davy Grant and captain Kevin Macgregor hit two maximums and three ton-plus checkouts between them but it proved fruitless for the reigning champions.

RBL now lead the pack in the first division after defeating Harper’s.

Elsewhere there were victories for Lybster Comm, Castletown Poachers and Queen’s, who now are in fourth place.

In the second division all the away sides won, with the father-and-son duo of Sandy and Lee Robertson in fine form for Riverhouse.
