Scottish Cup will scrap replays from First Round onwards in competition
No replays will take place in this season's Scottish Cup beyond the Preliminary Round, it has been confirmed by the Scottish FA.
Clubs have passed a resolution to remove replays from Rounds One, Two and Three for this season's competition.
There are already no replays from Round Four onwards. Extra-time and penalties will be used to decide matches in those rounds, if required.
The 2022/23 Scottish Cup competition kicks off on Saturday, August 27 with the Preliminary Round, where drawn matches will still be decided by a replay, which would proceed straight to penalties if no winner is decided after 90 minutes.
The Scottish Cup key dates for this year's competition are as follows:
Preliminary Round: weekend of Saturday, August 27
First Round: weekend of Saturday, September 17
Second Round: weekend of Saturday, 22 October 22
Third Round: weekend of Saturday, 26 November 26
Fourth Round: weekend of Saturday, 21 January 21
Fifth Round: weekend of Saturday, 11 February 11
Quarter-Finals: weekend of Saturday, 11 March 11
Semi-Finals: Saturday, April 29 and Sunday, April 30
Final: Saturday, June 3
