Wick Academy lost 1-0 to Keith in the Scottish Cup second round.

WICK Academy's hopes of landing a dream third round tie were ended when a first half penalty was enough for Keith to advance in the Scottish Cup.

The defining moment of the match came when striker Cammy Keith was cut down in the box by Craig Shearer on 33 minutes.

Last season's top scorer in the Highland League made no mistake slotting past Allan Bokas.

With gusty winds making it difficult for both sides, there were few chances on goal.

Wick desperately searched for an equaliser and almost forced a replay when Stewart Ross shaved the post in injury time.

More reaction in Wednesday's Caithness Courier.
