Pentland United clinched the County League division-one title after coming out on top of an eight-goal thriller versus Wick Groats at Upper Bignold on Thursday.

James Murray, Ross Allan(2), Darryn Mackay and Michael Petrie (pen) got United’s goals in the 5-3 win.

Groats replied through Grant MacNab and a double from Allan Larnach.

The league decider had originally been scheduled for Wednesday night but heavy rain forced a postponement.
