Pentland shooters on the mark in Portland Bowl competition

Pentland Rifle Club won Caithness Small Bore Rifle Association’s Portland Bowl competition following the final at Stirkoke Rifle Club.

Eight teams had taken part in the earlier rounds of the competition, with four – Pentland, Halkirk “B”, Wick Old Stagers “A” and Watten “A” – competing in the final.

Pentland dropped 27 points out of a possible total of 800. Wick Old Stagers came second, dropping 33 points, while the Halkirk team finished third with 38 points dropped.
