THE Dorothy Budge Memorial Pairs Cup, sponsored by Dorothy’s son, Peter, and daughter, Avril, and their families, was played on Saturday, August 27, at the Rosebank bowling green.

The game was played as a round robin over two sections with the runner-up from each playing the winner of the other section in a semi-final and then a final.

The first semi saw Angela Grant and Margaret Bain play Graham Bain and Perry Mackenzie, with Graham and Perry going through to the final. The second semi involved Brian Harcus and Frank Ross against Sandy Campbell and Derry Cormack.

Sandy and Derry ran out the winners and met Graham and Perry in the final, which was played over 10 ends.

At the end of the contest it was senior pair of Sandy and Derry Cormack who took the trophy, which was presented by Avril and her daughter, Abbie.
